Mesquite is the only wood I work with now because of its stability and strength.It has a richly figured grain pattern that varies throughout the tree.The tight fibers allow the wood to be polished to a beautiful sheen.It seems only natural to be working with such a versatile and storied tree in the heart of the brush country of South Texas.

Mesquite-Turquoise Bowl #571
A small personal bowl for snacking in front of the tube. 6 inches by 1 1/2 inches. The trails left by the Longhorn beetle provided the perfect setting for the turquoise.
